Selworthy provides manufacturing CRM consulting for companies that need clearer customer relationships, product context and sales pipeline visibility. We help sales teams assess and implement HubSpot as a customer relationship management system. Define what sales needs to see, which system owns each value, and how the connected workflow will be tested.

Your CRM should support the commercial work without becoming a second ERP.

When manufacturing sales processes outgrow a generic pipeline

A CRM redesign may be worth evaluating when your team has to reconstruct the account, product and opportunity story from disconnected records.

  • Sales reps cannot connect a product inquiry to the correct item, family or application.
  • Distributors, end customers and operating locations are reduced to one company field.
  • Complex sales cycles leave quotes and sales orders disconnected from the original opportunity.
  • Leadership reconciles exports before trusting pipeline by product family, market or owner.
  • A migration or integration has left identifiers, associations or update ownership unclear.

Start with the decisions the team needs to make. Moving more data into HubSpot is not automatically the answer.

Manufacturing CRM services

CRM architecture and catalog assessment

Map customer types, locations, sales motions and product context. Compare the requirements with CRM software capabilities, using HubSpot standard records, products and line items before adding custom structures.

Reviewable output: a responsibility map, data model, reporting requirements and implementation boundaries.

Manufacturing CRM implementation in HubSpot

Configure the approved pipelines, customer data fields, associations, permissions and reports in the CRM system. Where ERP integration is needed, scope the records, timing, conflict handling and acceptance tests separately.

Reviewable output: configured workflows and results checked against known records.

Training and governance

Document who maintains CRM data and catalog context, resolves duplicate records, approves changes and investigates a failed handoff. Train sales representatives and other internal teams around their actual work.

Reviewable output: operating guidance, test evidence and an agreed handover.

CRM and ERP integration: where each system stays in charge

HubSpot Sales Hub includes lead management, deal pipelines, sales automation and reporting. Features depend on the subscription and configuration. We assess these commercial capabilities against your sales process.

Keep inventory management, manufacturing execution, engineering revisions, production planning and supply chain management in the ERP systems or operational tools responsible for them. Authoritative financial records stay in the selected ERP or accounting software. Sales may need a selected status or link, not a complete copy of the operational record.

For a defined cross-system workflow, our HubSpot integration services cover assessment, implementation and separately agreed ongoing care. No specific ERP connection is promised before feasibility and access checks.

Test the product library before moving the catalog

HubSpot provides a product library whose goods and services can be associated as line items to deals and other commerce records. Seats, permissions and subscriptions affect available features.

That does not make the CRM the right product master for every manufacturer. Before a full import, test a representative set of products and opportunities:

  • Which identifiers remain stable across CRM, ERP, ecommerce and quoting?
  • Where are variants, units, prices, discounts and revisions approved?
  • Does a rep select a known item, configure a solution or request a custom quote?
  • What happens when a product is renamed, replaced or made inactive?
  • Which product and line-item dimensions must reconcile in reporting?

Specialized configuration, product information or engineering work may belong elsewhere. Custom objects require an eligible Enterprise subscription; we assess standard records and associations first.

From assessment to a usable system

Before choosing manufacturing CRM software, agree on the business decisions it needs to support. For example, define how to measure inquiry response, quote progression, sales cycles and repeat opportunities. Assign an owner and source for each measure. If customer satisfaction, customer retention or service operations are in scope, define their records and responsibilities separately. These are evaluation questions, not promised performance improvements.

  1. Map the commercial process. Identify relationships, product questions, milestones and handoffs.
  2. Agree on data ownership. Define identifiers, update direction, duplicate rules and reporting definitions.
  3. Scope the build. Confirm access, subscriptions, source-system limits and acceptance criteria.
  4. Configure and test. Check known records, failures, permissions and the reports leadership will use.
  5. Train and hand over. Assign ongoing responsibilities and document approved change procedures.

Our HubSpot onboarding and training and HubSpot operations services support the broader rollout.

Manufacturing CRM questions

Is HubSpot a replacement for manufacturing ERP?

No. We evaluate HubSpot for commercial relationships and opportunities. ERP, inventory, production, engineering and financial responsibilities remain with the systems chosen to own them.

Can HubSpot handle our product catalog?

It depends on the catalog and sales process. Evaluate identifiers, variants, price rules, configuration, revisions and reporting using representative products before committing to a full migration.

Can you improve an existing HubSpot portal?

We can begin with a scoped assessment of the data model, pipelines, products, associations, integrations and reports. The implementation plan preserves what works and identifies the changes to test.

What will the project cost and how long will it take?

Scope follows the process, data and access review. Software charges, implementation and ongoing support are considered separately. A budget and delivery plan are agreed after the requirements and dependencies are clear.

Start with the commercial work your CRM must support

Tell us how your team sells, which systems hold product and order data, and which reports are difficult to trust. We can use that context to scope the next step.

Please do not send credentials, customer records or sensitive files through the initial inquiry form.
